Hello! I'm Grace, a Bay Area birth & postpartum doula. I practice mostly in the East Bay but also provide birth support in San Francisco, Marin, and Vallejo. I'm fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including boosters. My pronouns are she & her.

I began my career in 2012 providing abortion support, a role I was honored to hold for two years. Providing such marginalized care instilled in me a deep understanding of the harm caused by stigma and a commitment to non-judgment as the bedrock of my work. I've held a variety of positions in the reproductive health & justice movement(s) since then and became a certified birth & postpartum doula with Doula Trainings International in early 2019.

I am a doula because I believe everyone deserves to move through pregnancy, birth, and parenthood with dignity and compassion. My philosophy of care radiates from the belief that shame is useless and having space to be oneself is liberating. My work involves a lot of teaching, but it is grounded in curiosity & listening; the rest grows from there.

 

My philosophy is this: You deserve to be supported completely. I believe in you. And together, we’ve totally got this.
